24/01/10 - Belated ‘Happy New Year’ to you all.  Classes resumed on 4th January and due to the snow we had to cancel one weeks training - we have added this week on to the end of the courses. Updates to Recent Achievements, and to Events page. 2010 is a very special year for the club as we will have been in existence for 50 years, which we think is one huge achievement.  To celebrate our ‘50th Anniversary’ we are planning several social events throughout the year. This will obviously depend on the level of support we get - so please keep an eye open on the website and on notice boards in the Hal for details.

11/10/09 - Updates to Recent Achievements and Rainbow Bridge pages.  We are still struggling to keep pace with the demand for places within the club.  We have now started to have a couple of classes on a Tuesday night to try and clear the backlog - how long this will continue no-one as yet knows.  Social events - 29th October - another Quiz Night - this was very well attended earlier in the year and was great fun.  Please come and join us, maximum 6 per team at The Seven Sisters Pub.  See notices in Hall for further details.  Also Christmas Dinner now arranged - Weds 9th December at Seaford Golf Club. Again see notices for more details.

Finally for now, please be aware that Kennel Cough is still around.  If you can, please speak to your vet about protection against it and if your dog starts to cough, please KEEP AWAY from the Club. We don’t want to find ourselves in the position we did last year and have to close for a few weeks.

16/01/09 - We continue to have never ending waiting lists for the bronze course. In an effort to help these people until they get a place on a course Gill (one of our trainers) will be holding weekend training sessions on two Saturdays in February. These will be in half hour sessions for one to three people at £8 per session (so a one to one session will cost you £8 but should you share the lesson then you share the cost). These sessions are for dogs aged 6 months and over and will be general obedience training up to Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Bronze course standard but may address any specific problem you have. If you are interested in attending one or more of these lessons please phone Gill Martin on 01323 893184 (if you have trouble contacting Gill phone Diane on 01323 899032)

09/01/09 - Happy New Year everyone and welcome back to classes!  We are experimenting this term with running our puppy classes for just 6 weeks.  With a little bit of work put in every day we believe they should be able to graduate within this timeframe. For those interested, we will then start them on a pre-Bronze course until they can join the following term. Updates to Recent Achievements, Members Recommendations, Rescue pages as well as minor alterations on some Trainers pages.

26/10/08 - Training will resume on Monday for all fit and healthy dogs.  If your dog has been one of the unfortunate dogs to have been ill with Kennel Cough - please DO NOT return to training until your dog has been symptom free for 10 days. We do not want to put any dogs at risk of catching the virus - especially the young and the elder dogs among club members.

      bassethound1line

      bassethound1line

13/10/08 - Unfortunately, we have a few dogs that have developed Kennel Cough recently. We have sought advice and decided to close the Club for at least one week so we are not spreading the virus.  Several updates made to site, including additions to Rainbow Bridge page, Classes and Trainers.
