Lynsey

Hi I’m Lynsey and have been a member of the club for 4 years. I have been an instructor now for a year and a half and have taken Silver and Gold classes and will be increasing my knowledge and experience by also taking a Bronze class.

I hope to help dog owners enjoy a good relationship with theirs dogs based on trust and respect for each other. I would also hope to encourage good manners when around other dogs and other people. I believe that in our training sessions we not only practice the exercises for the tests but also have different exercises that we do for fun.

I currently have a 10 year Cavalier King Charles called Tess who has been through her paces and has passed her Gold test. I also have a 4 year old Cavalier called Abby who has passed her Gold twice; once with myself as a handler and once with my daughter!

I attend the graduate class with Abby when I can. I also take her to obedience classes at Upper Dicker. This is good for both her and me as a trainer. I am learning skills at both dog clubs which I can share with others.

My personal goal is to be the best trainer for the club that I can be and will try to do this by attending instructor training courses to keep my skills up to date and to keep proactively gaining experience with different levels of ability of dogs.
